Digitization of education

Educational institution GO! needed a modern solution that could give students an independent way of developing their strengths and weaknesses by using a variety of learning materials in line with government-issued focus goals.

Digitalization Of Education 2

GO!, a Belgian government organization, partnered with Numble to create a modern, responsive learning platform with mobile and tablet apps. The platform helps students independently develop their skills using diverse educational materials aligned with government goals. Using Scrum, we developed both front-end and back-end applications, leveraging .NET Core, AngularJS, and Cordova. The result is a scalable, user-friendly tool that earned the Henry van de Velde Award 2020 for its innovative approach to education.

Challenge

GO! needed a modern solution to enable students to independently develop their strengths and weaknesses using diverse learning materials aligned with government-issued focus goals. The website had to be flexible and scalable, with centralized content management for a large team. Additionally, a mobile solution was required to enhance engagement and efficiency.

Solution

GO! partnered with educators, Leap Forward and Numble to create a responsive learning platform, including mobile and tablet apps. We began with workshops, interviews, and qualitative research with stakeholders to identify gaps. We then entered a co-creation phase to design solutions that aligned educational goals with student needs and current information consumption habits. As part of the UX and UI team, we provided technical analysis and insights into various processes and workflows. Using the Scrum methodology, we executed a fast-paced two-week release cycle and facilitated content addition during development. We developed both the back-end and front-end applications, with the front-end wrapped as a hybrid mobile app for Android and iOS using AngularJS and Cordova. .NET Core was utilized to quickly roll out APIs and support the front-end development team.
